FATE

Fate does not play a larger role in the many stupid decisions Romeo an Juliet made, it was their dependance on Fate and the stars that got them killed. "Will I set up my everlasting rest, And shake the yoke of inauspicious stars" (Act 5, Scene 3). Romeo's dependance on the stars and fate ran right up until he killed himself, when he stated that he and Juliet would finally be free of them. The fact that he felt he needed to get free from fate should have shown that they both were too dependant on fate, Romeo goes on to say that this was all written in the book of fate. "O, I am Fortunes fool" (Act 3, Scene 1, line 11). Romeo says this after he has killed Tybalt, and he is almost blaming fate for Tybalt's death. This happens all throughout the play, Romeo and Juliet never take any responsibility for they actions, they blame them on fate instead. In conclusion Fate did not play a larger role in the decisions that Romeo and Juliet made, in fact it was their dependence on it that cause their deaths.
